Winter Skincare Swaps for Mature Skin

justdoingmybest

With Fall and Winter and dropping temps, we often find ourselves needing to adjust our skincare and makeup needs. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite products that help my skin stay hydrated and looking it's best during the colder months of the year.

Skincare is so important as we age, and I have definitely noticed that my routine needs to be adjusted when the temps start to fall. After a summer filled with outdoor activities, and in my case farm animals, my skin always seems to crave moisture by the fall. I have found a few products that I swear by to give my skin what it desperately needs this season.

Even though I typically have very oily mature skin, I found that I need to switch my facial cleanser to something more hydrating as the temps cool down, and the CeraVe Foaming Oil Cleanser has been a new favorite for me. This face wash contains hyaluronic acid, ceramides, which help hydrate skin without stripping moisture. Not only does it do a great job at removing face makeup, dirt, and excess oil, but it also provides the hydration and moisture that my skin craves in the winter.

I have really loved using the Versed Retinol Body Lotion. This Vegan anti-agin body lotion contains retinol plus nourishing coco butter and squalane. Not only does it help with dryness, but also firms skin, smoothes texture and can help with breakouts and reduces hypterpigmentation. YES, PLEASE! I apply this at night and wake up with smoother and softer skin. This lotion comes in under $20, which is also a big plus.

Our hands need extra help as temps start to cool down, and the L’OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream has been my go-to for years. THE BEST!! This vegan hand cream is not only nourishing and moisturizing, but it really does help transform hands from dry to soft and supple.

RoC Derm Correxion Advanced Retinol Firming Serum Stick is another product that I consider a must-have. Not only does this help to treat, tighten and lift the skin on your neck, but I also use this easy to apply roller to my face, chest and back of my hands. It is very moisturizing, glides on clear and contains antioxidants and retinol which makes this product a fave for skincare.

If you've been a follower for awhile, you've heard me sing the praises of the Mountain Top Rosehip Seed Oil. This multi-use product is a workhorse in my skincare. It contains many anti-aging vitamins to not only moisturize, and also helps with many skin concerns such as uneven skin tones, fine lines and wrinkles, and is also great to use on your hair.

These are just a few of my favorite skincare products that help my skin look and feel it's best during the winter. I'd love to have you comment on this post and let me know what works for you when your skin "lets you know" it needs a little more TLC.

God Bless you and it would mean the world to me if you shared this with another sweet mature lady.

Love,

Dawn
